One of the most delightful aspects of a gingerbread house is the attention to detail, and this one definitely has it!  The roof and the front inset have a red waffle design, and the gabled room has white shiplap.  The chimneys actually have a brickwork design, and there is even a white picket fence, topped with red candies.  And then there are the peppermints!  The columns on the house, the trim on the door and rooftop are all peppermint sticks.  And there are peppermints sprinkled on the roof, on the top of the chimneys, on the windowsills, and above the windows.  There is even a peppermint doorknob!  The two little trees are made of peppermint ribbon candy, and even the snowman is decked out in peppermint!  And it's dusted all over with a sprinkle of glitter.
